With over 30 years of fishing experience in Central Texas, Captain Randy Fesler has turned a lifelong passion into a career focused on sharing the joys of fishing. As a seasoned tournament angler with 15 years of competitive experience, he has mastered the waters of Lake Austin, Lake Travis, and surrounding bass fishing hotspots. Randy’s approach is tailored to every angler, whether guiding beginners eager to learn the basics or experienced fishers seeking trophy largemouth bass, crappie, or white bass. His deep knowledge of seasonal patterns, fish behavior, and local conditions ensures a safe, enjoyable, and productive day on the water.
An Army Veteran and lifelong outdoorsman, Randy also brings a strong sense of professionalism and care to every trip. As a small business owner, he takes pride in offering family-friendly fishing outings and private charters that accommodate individuals or small groups. Over the years, his dedication to exceptional service and local expertise has earned him a reputation as one of the top-rated fishing guides in Austin. Guests often comment on his friendly demeanor, patience, and ability to make even first-time anglers feel confident and engaged.
Captain Randy’s fishing techniques are both versatile and highly effective. He expertly wields light tackle to work spinnerbaits, crankbaits, chatterbaits, and shakeyheads for aggressive strikes from active fish, while heavier tackle—jigs, big worms, and creature baits—helps pull trophy bass from deeper cover. He adapts his approach to seasonal shifts, water conditions, and the skill level of his guests, ensuring every outing is both challenging and rewarding. Whether finesse or power fishing, Randy’s expertise guarantees a productive day focused on learning, fun, and memorable catches.
